1. Grab the nearest book 2. Open the book to page 123. 3. Find the fifth sentence. 4. Post the text of the sentence in your journal along with these instructions. 5. Don't search around and look for the coolest book you can find. Do what's actually next to you.

| stupid money |
[06 Jan 2006|11:11am] |
so i was looking over my mortgage and i realized something. i pay i lot of freaking money in interest. for example, i make a large payment every month for the house. not even 1/5 of that payment makes it to principle. i swear, if i ever have a lot of money, i'm going into the loan business. i'll only load to people with great credit and it's pretty much a guaranteed return.
that or tax leans. cause i could go for a house that costs $150 dollars.

| hobbies of the moment |
[03 Jan 2006|02:32pm] |
since everyone else is posting about new years/christmas, i'm going to break the trend and do my own thing.
the more i play city of villains, the more i enjoy it. i wish i could say the same about wow...cause emily loves wow and she's none to appreciative of cov. and i personally think it would be fun to tool out with my girlfriend. but may by the time emily has a working computer, i may get back into wow. i doubt it. sincerely. but you never know.
i have also decided to start a salt water aquarium. take that synder. instead of having fake, plastic plants, i'm going to grow coral. but for the moment, all i have is very pure water and a filter system for it. and a large investment in the hobby. i'll post about it more when it becomes more active. so about six months.
lastly, i've started knitting again. "again", you say? yes, again. i learned a long time ago but never finished a single project. so, my baba learned that emily was making scarfs/hats/purses for people (but she kept the purse cause it turned out cute) and decided she wanted one. now, em likes baba, but she is has a couple other projects in front of her. she wants to make me a hat. yarrrrrr. she wants to make her aunt a bag/purse. and maybe her cousin. she wants to make a wrap for herself. and lastly, a scarf for her mom. so i decided that i would make baba a scarf. for those of you haven't caught it, "baba" is russian for grandmother. so i'm making a candy cane striped scarf cause that's the yarn em had and i'm too lazy/cheap to go buy my own.
other than that, i've just been spending time with em. i spent the holidays with her and things are going great. i love you sweetie. but enough sap.
and before anyone can ask, i will not make you a scarf. unless you pay me for my time. $10 an hour. and i'll be able to make a scarf in roughly 10 hours. and it won't be better quality than what you buy in a store. so the point of this is, don't ask me unless you want to waste money.
hah.

| i'm an ass |
[19 Dec 2005|01:05pm] |
since i left rose, i've actually become pretty computer savvy. by no means l33t, mainly because everyone who is l33t is a giant tool, but i'm still pretty good. i actually do huge amounts of coding now, primarily in vb but i know the basics in perl, iplan, python and c. and when things don't work, i get called.
well, some people were having problems with some macros (vb through the office products) so i came out to help them. the problem was that they had just switched computers and the security on all the office products was set to high (won't allow macros). so i switched the security down and said something to the effect of:
"microsoft has everything set up so that people who have no idea what they're doing can't screw things up."
after thinking about that for a second, i realized that i just told the people i was talking to that they had no idea what they were doing with computers.
i am kevin; master of the tact.
